Steve Cronin (graduate student 1996-2002) discusses his work with Millie during his graduate days, and his collaboration afterwards.

Dresselhaus Group: 1996-2002
My graduate work in Millie’s group focused on thermoelectric transport measurements of nanoscale materials. However, I watched somewhat from a distance as the other half of her group worked on carbon nanotubes. During this time period (1996-2002), the tremendous utility of Raman spectroscopy to characterize carbon nanotubes was realized, including the measurement of Raman spectra from individual carbon nanotubes by Ado Jorio and the Breit-Wigner-Fano lineshape of metallic carbon nanotubes by Sandra Brown.
